Senior RF / Hardware Design Engineer (Multi-Band Wireless & GNSS)
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior RF / Hardware Design Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize advanced wireless and tracking systems for our drone and technology platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in RF hardware design, PCB development, LoRa/LoRaWAN, GPS/GNSS, antennas, and RF testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop multi-band RF hardware supporting 433 MHz, 915 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and GPS/GNSS systems.
- Develop RF schematics, multi-layer PCB layouts, and 50Ω impedance-controlled transmission lines.
- Select and integrate LoRa transceivers, GNSS modules, PA/LNA, FEMs, RF switches, SAW filters, and other RF components.
- Design, tune, and optimize antennas, RF front-end circuits, and impedance-matching networks.
- Perform RF/EM simulations using HFSS, CST, ADS, or equivalent tools.
- Conduct prototype bring-up, RF tuning, debugging, and hardware validation.
- Use VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and other RF test equipment.
- Work with LoRa/LoRaWAN, GNSS, SDR, DSP, FSK/GFSK, QPSK, and other wireless communication technologies.
- Support EMI/EMC, RF compliance, DFM/DFT, and transition of prototypes to production.
- Coordinate with Embedded, Firmware, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams for successful product development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering,
RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in RF hardware design and PCB development.
- Strong understanding of RF circuits, transmission lines, impedance matching, antennas, RF filters, and high-frequency PCB design.
- Practical experience with LoRa/LoRaWAN and GPS/GNSS.
- Experience with PA, LNA, or FEM integration, particularly for 2.4 GHz applications, will be preferred.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence Allegro, or similar PCB design tools.
- Experience with RF laboratory equipment and hardware debugging.
- Knowledge of HFSS, CST, ADS, or similar RF simulation tools will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience Experience in drone systems, defence technology, robotics, IoT, wireless tracking systems, SDR, antenna design, mesh networking, or other advanced wireless products will be an added advantage.
