Position: PLC Programmer – SPM Automation

Experience Required

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in PLC programming.
- Strong hands-on experience in SPM / Special Purpose Machine automation is mandatory.
- Experience in machine sequence development, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Freshers are not eligible.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify PLC programs for SPM and industrial automation machines.
- Understand machine sequence and convert mechanical/process requirements into PLC logic.
- Program machine operations including auto/manual modes, interlocks, alarms, timers, counters, and sequencing.
- Perform PLC I/O configuration, addressing, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Commission SPM machines and conduct machine trials.
- Troubleshoot PLC, sensor, actuator, pneumatic, and electrical control-related issues.
- Integrate PLC with HMI, VFD, servo drives, sensors, and other automation devices.
- Modify PLC programs based on customer requirements and machine performance.
- Perform I/O checking and machine sequence validation.
- Coordinate with Mechanical Design, Electrical, Assembly, and Production teams.




- Support installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.
- Maintain PLC program backups and automation documentation.

PLC Platforms Experience in any of the following:

- Siemens
- Mitsubishi
- Delta
- Allen-Bradley

Required Technical Skills

- Robust knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of SPM machine sequences and automation logic.
- Knowledge of HMI programming and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of VFD and servo drive configuration.
- Understanding of sensors, solenoid valves, pneumatic systems, relays, contactors, and safety circuits.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and control circuit diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / EEE / ECE / Electronics / Mechatronics or related field.

Candidate Requirements

- Only experienced candidates.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant PLC programming experience preferred.
- SPM / Automation experience is mandatory.
- Should be willing to travel for machine installation and commissioning if required.
