Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Multi-Platform Database Administrator to design, manage, secure, monitor, and optimize our hybrid database environment.

The candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle database technologies, particularly Oracle Exadata on AWS, Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, OEM Cloud Control, and RMAN. The role will also involve exposure to and support for AWS RDS PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server environments as part of our multi-database strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Infrastructure & Cloud - Mandatory

Manage, administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Oracle Exadata environments deployed on AWS/cloud infrastructure.

Administer and troubleshoot Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) in multi-node, high-availability environments.

Design and support real-time data replication using Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).

Manage centralized monitoring, alerting, compliance, and patching using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control.

Develop and execute robust Oracle RMAN backup and recovery strategies.

Perform Oracle database performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

Support database upgrades, patching, migrations, and high-availability initiatives.

Ensure database security, availability, reliability,



and disaster recovery readiness.

AWS RDS PostgreSQL - Preferred

Provision, configure, administer, and optimize AWS RDS PostgreSQL environments.

Perform instance sizing, parameter tuning, performance monitoring, backup, and maintenance.

Support cloud-native PostgreSQL workloads and database modernization initiatives.

Assist in migrating legacy commercial database workloads to PostgreSQL where appropriate.

Work with AWS services such as RDS and EC2.

Microsoft SQL Server - Preferred

Administer enterprise Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Manage database security, user access, maintenance, backups, and routine administration.

Troubleshoot SQL Server jobs and performance-related issues.

Analyze index fragmentation and perform database optimization.

Optimize T-SQL queries and support SQL Server performance tuning.

Required Skills

Must-Have

7+ years of overall Database Administration experience.

Strong hands-on experience with:

Oracle Exadata

Oracle RAC

Oracle GoldenGate

Oracle RMAN

Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

Solid Oracle database administration and performance-tuning experience.

Experience working with AWS database/cloud infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, HA, DR, monitoring, and security.

Experience working across Linux and Windows environments.

Strong scripting/automation skills using one or more of:

PL/SQL

Shell Scripting

Python

T-SQL
