Role Description The Senior Microbiologist role is a full-time, in office position based in Baddi. The role involves planning, performing, and supervising microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental monitoring in compliance with regulatory standards. Daily responsibilities include managing laboratory workflows, validating methods, calibrating and maintaining microbiology laboratory equipment, and reviewing and interpreting test results.

The Senior

Microbiologist will collaborate with Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams, prepare and review documentation and reports, support investigations and corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and compliance practices.





Qualifications

- Strong microbiology expertise, including applied pharmaceutical Microbiology and sterile/non-sterile product testing.
- Proficiency in Laboratory Skills such as aseptic techniques, culturing, and microbial enumeration.
- Experience with Laboratory Equipment, including operation, calibration, and routine maintenance of incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets, and related instruments.
- Demonstrated competence in Quality Control activities, including routine testing, documentation review, and adherence to SOPs and specifications.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, including GMP, GLP, regulatory guidelines, audits, and deviation/investigation processes.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life science discipline.
- Several years of experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Ability to lead and mentor team members, manage workloads, and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with attention to detail and safety practices.
