We are Hiring Senior Manager - SME Underwriting for Ahmedabad, Vadodara & Surat location.

We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager SME Underwriting to join our Ahmedabad, Vadodara & Surat office.

Work Profile

Evaluate new & renewal risk proposals (Property, Fire, Engineering, Energy) and assess risk exposure and acceptability.

Analyze technical, financial, and loss data to determine appropriate coverage and underwriting decisions.

Decide pricing, premiums, deductibles, and policy terms in line with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.

Manage and monitor portfolio profitability, including loss ratios, renewals, and growth targets.

Collaborate with brokers, clients, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders to negotiate and close business.





Coordinate risk inspections/surveys and implement risk improvement recommendations for large/complex risks.

Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, internal policies, and underwriting governance standards.

Desired Profile:4-7 years of proven experience with similar role.

Solid analytical and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to balance risk assessment with business growth objectives.
