About the Role

We are looking for an experienced EXIM qualified with 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Advance Licence, Import & Export Operations, DGFT procedures, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy, and Export Documentation.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete EXIM function, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing import/export processes, and coordinating with DGFT, Customs, CHA, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete Export & Import (EXIM) operations of the organization.
- Handle Advance Authorisation / Advance Licence processes from application through fulfilment and closure.
- Strong knowledge of DGFT regulations, Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), Customs procedures, and export-import compliance.
- Prepare and manage documentation related to Advance Authorisation, Export Obligation, Redemption, and Closure.
- Monitor and ensure timely fulfilment of Export Obligation (EO) against Advance Licences.
- Coordinate with DGFT, Customs, CBIC, ports, banks, CHA and freight forwarders.
- Manage import of raw materials, components, machinery and other materials under applicable schemes.
- Handle export documentation including Shipping Bills, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading/Airway Bills, Certificates of Origin and related documents.
- Ensure accurate classification of products under HSN/HS Codes and applicable customs duties.
- Monitor customs clearance and resolve documentation or regulatory issues.
- Coordinate with internal Purchase, Finance, Stores, Production, Sales and Logistics teams for smooth EXIM operations.
- Track import/export shipments, lead times, freight costs,



customs duties and associated expenses.
- Manage Letter of Credit (LC), Bank Realisation Certificate (BRC/e-BRC), Foreign Inward Remittance and banking documentation.
- Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI, DGFT and Customs regulations applicable to EXIM activities.
- Maintain proper records of licences, authorisations, shipping documents and statutory compliance.
- Identify opportunities for duty savings, cost optimization and process improvement.
- Liaise with consultants and regulatory authorities on complex EXIM matters.
- Conduct periodic reviews of EXIM performance, pending licences, export obligations and compliance status.
- Develop and implement robust systems and controls for EXIM documentation and compliance.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in EXIM operations within a manufacturing organization.
- Strong hands-on experience in Advance Licence / Advance Authorisation is mandatory.
- Should have extensive exposure to DGFT, Customs and export-import regulatory processes.
- Strong analytical, documentation and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to independently manage the EXIM function and resolve regulatory issues.
