- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library and ensure an organized, welcoming learning environment.
- Develop, maintain, and regularly update the library collection of books, periodicals, digital resources, and reference materials.
- Plan and implement library programs that encourage reading, independent learning, and information literacy.
- Assist students and teachers in locating appropriate books, reference materials, and digital resources.
- Guide students in research, information evaluation, citation, and responsible use of digital information.
- Coordinate book selection and procurement in consultation with teachers and school leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of acquisitions, circulation, inventory, and library membership.
- Supervise and mentor junior library staff, assistants, or volunteers.
- Establish and enforce appropriate library policies and procedures.
- Organize reading clubs, book fairs, author visits, exhibitions, storytelling sessions, and other literacy-related activities.
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum requirements and project-based learning.
- Introduce students to age-appropriate digital databases, e-books,



online catalogues, and educational resources.
- Monitor library usage and prepare reports for school management.
- Ensure the library remains current with educational trends, children's literature, and emerging information technologies.
- Maintain a secure, inclusive, and student-friendly library environment.
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS/MLISc) or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- Relevant certification in library science, information management, or educational technology is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of library classification, cataloguing, circulation systems, and digital library resources.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a school, academic, or educational library environment.
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory library position preferred.
- Experience working with children and young people is highly desirable.
- Females preferable.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
