About the Role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that support Access information management and digital workflow solutions. This role involves working across the frontend and backend, developing React-based user experiences, Java/Spring Boot services, APIs, and event-driven microservices in a cloud-enabled environment. You will collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions, improve system performance, and contribute to modern software development practices across the platform.

Tech you'll work with

Frontend: React, TypeScript, Redux, React Hook Form, React Router, react-intl (i18n).

Backend: Java, Spring Boot (Web, Security, Validation), Spring Data MongoDB, Spring Data Redis, Spring Kafka,



Spring Cloud Function; REST APIs plus a GraphQL (Apollo Federation) BFF layer.

Data & messaging: Apache Kafka (event-driven), MongoDB, Redis, relational DBs (PostgreSQL/SQL Server), AWS Timestream for time-series/event logging.

Cloud & platform: AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, Timestream, CloudWatch, API Gateway), Terraform (IaC across multiple environments), Docker/Compose, Auth0 (OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, MFA), CI/CD via Azure DevOps.

Roles & Responsibilities:

What you'll do

- Design and build features end-to-end React micro-frontends and the Spring Boot services and APIs behind them.
- Develop and maintain event-driven microservices (Kafka producers/consumers) and REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Contribute to the module-federated frontend: shared component libraries, state management, performance, and accessibility.
- Integrate with cloud services (S3, SQS, Timestream, Redis, MongoDB) using the AWS SDK.
- Write automated tests (JUnit, Jest), participate in code reviews, and help evolve CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps in an Agile team; troubleshoot across the stack using logging, and metrics.

Required Skills: What we're looking for (required)

- 5+ years of professional software engineering with production experience in both React and Java/Spring Boot.
- Frontend:



strong React + TypeScript, up-to-date JS/ES tooling, component-driven architecture, REST/GraphQL API consumption, and testing.
- Backend: solid Java (17/21) and Spring Boot — building REST services, working with Spring Security, and integrating databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Comfort with relational and NoSQL data stores (e.g., PostgreSQL/SQL Server, MongoDB) and caching (Redis).
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and writing tests at multiple levels.
- Ability to work across service boundaries in a distributed, microservices codebase.
- Experience handling PHI/PII or other sensitive data, including secure document transfer workflows (encryption in transit/at rest, access controls, audit logging).

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to have

- Micro-frontend / Module Federation experience.
- Event-driven / Kafka messaging and microservices patterns (sagas, BFF, API gateways).
- Hands-on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, Timestream) and Terraform/IaC.
- Auth0 / OAuth2 / OIDC / SAML identity integration.
- GraphQL (Apollo Federation) and monorepo tooling (Yarn workspaces, Maven multi-module).
- Domain exposure to enterprise content/records management or healthcare data (HL7/FHIR, HIPAA).
- Experience with high-transaction-volume systems (throughput, scaling, and performance tuning) — highly preferred.
