Who would you be?

You're a full-stack engineer who lives in the MEAN stack and owns features from the Angular front end through to Node.js services and the data layer. You enjoy encoding real business logic in clean code, and you're not afraid to reach for new technologies when they're the right fit.

What you get to do in this role

- Build and maintain internet-scale applications and services to a high standard of engineering excellence, across the full stack.
- Own features end-to-end: scoping, technical design, implementation across front end and back end, testing, and production rollout.
- Independently deliver new integration frameworks, or extend existing ones, to implement features of medium to high complexity.
- Partner with Project Managers across the org on project and release planning.
- Deliver high-quality, well-written code that others can quickly understand, support, and maintain.
- Write automated test cases that plug into our Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline. Work within a Lean-Agile / Scrum framework to ship features to production predictably.
- Build effective relationships with product management, technical teams, systems operations, and service and support.
- Present and communicate complex ideas and features clearly to a broad audience.

What you should have

- 3–5 years in software development, with a minimum of 3+ years on the MEAN stack.
- Deep understanding of JavaScript, and hands-on experience with TypeScript.
- Strong command of Node.js and its ecosystem,



including Express (or similar frameworks).
- Solid experience with Angular (recent versions) and modern front-end JavaScript.
- Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and SCSS.
- Confident with asynchronous programming and how to apply it pragmatically.
- Production experience with MongoDB and MySQL, including data modelling and schema design that maps cleanly to business processes.
- Deep understanding of MongoDB and query optimization.
- Working knowledge of caching mechanisms (Redis).
- Experience with message queues — ideally RabbitMQ — and event-driven patterns (publish/subscribe, work queues, retries, dead-letter, idempotency).
- Ability to model and apply authorization and permission control across users, systems, and services.
- Ability to serve different data sources and databases to different client platforms (mobile vs desktop) with optimal output.
- Familiarity with building scalable Node.js applications.
- Strong testing discipline — unit and integration — integrated into CI.
- Comfort with Docker and containerized deployment; exposure to a cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Fluent with Git-based workflows (GitLab).

Nice to have

- Working experience with Web Components.
- Working experience with React.
- GraphQL.
- Experience building no-code / low-code platforms or highly configurable, metadata-driven systems — a strong plus given Epik's zero-code product.
- Prior work on developer platforms or complex web applications.
