Role Description The Senior Editor – Science and Mathematics is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. The role involves overseeing the end-to-end development of science and mathematics manuscripts, including evaluation, structural editing, copyediting, and ensuring pedagogical integrity. The editor will coordinate with authors, reviewers, and subject matter experts to refine content, align it with relevant syllabi and board requirements, and maintain consistency in tone, level, and learning outcomes.

Day-to-day tasks include managing publication schedules, reviewing proofs, ensuring accurate use of diagrams, formulas, and terminology,



and collaborating with design and production teams. The role also requires monitoring market and curriculum trends, providing input on new titles and revisions, and upholding the publisher’s quality standards in all science and mathematics outputs.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter expertise in Science and Mathematics, with the ability to work across school and college-level content.
- Demonstrated experience with manuscript development and evaluation, including handling multiple manuscripts and editions.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and age-appropriate language for educational publications.
- Proficiency in research related to curricula, examination patterns, and educational best practices, and in reviewing academic publications.
- Relevant academic background (e.g., degree in Science, Mathematics, Education, or related fields) and prior experience in educational publishing or editorial roles.
- Robust attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and comfort working closely with authors, teachers, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with CBSE, ICSE, and other major boards’ requirements; experience in school or college teaching is an advantage.
- Comfort with basic digital tools for editing, document management, and communication; openness to learning new publishing workflows.
