NET Developer – Roles &

Responsibilities for a Transit Client

- Design, develop, and maintain

.NET/C# applications supporting transit operations, scheduling, ticketing, fleet management, and passenger services.

- Build and maintain
REST APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core.

- Develop integrations with transit systems, payment gateways, GPS/AVL, real-time vehicle tracking, and third-party APIs

- Work with

SQL Server

, Entity Framework Core, stored procedures, and database optimization.

- Implement real-time data processing for vehicle locations, arrival/departure information, alerts, and service updates

.

- Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance applications following enterprise coding standards.

- Troubleshoot production issues,



perform root-cause analysis, and provide application support.

- Write unit, integration, and automated tests and participate in code reviews.

- Collaborate with business analysts, transit-domain teams, QA, DevOps, and project managers.

- Participate in

Agile/Scrum ceremonies

, sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions.

- Use
Azure/AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and monitoring tools as applicable.

- Prepare technical documentation, API specifications, deployment guides,and support documentation.
