About the Role

Responsibilities

- Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of high-performance gearbox systems tailored to project requirements.
- Perform gear calculations (spur, helical, bevel, worm, planetary, etc.) using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Create and review 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (Creo or equivalent).
- Conduct FEA and tolerance analysis to ensure reliability and performance.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and debugging of gearbox assemblies.
- Prepare design documentation, technical reports, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Support cost estimation and manufacturability analysis.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.




- Minimum of 5–6 years of hands-on experience in Automotive gearbox/system design.
- Strong understanding of gear geometry, materials, heat treatment, and lubrication.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
- Familiarity with analysis tools (ANSYS, KISSsoft, Romax, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience in both prototype and production-level design.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of industry standards such as AGMA, ISO, DIN.
- Experience with electric vehicle (EV).
- Exposure to noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) optimization techniques.
- Project management experience or exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
