About Kefilo

Kefilo is building a NutritionTech platform focused on personalized nutrition, preventive wellness, functional nutrition, and food as a medium for health transformation.

Our current R&D; focus is on building a proprietary Nutrition Intelligence Engine that can collect, structure, analyze, and interpret individual nutrition and lifestyle data to generate personalized, evidence-based recommendations.

Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist who can help build the data and intelligence layer of Kefilo.

You will work closely with the founders, nutritionists, product and technology teams to convert nutrition, lifestyle, behavioral, and outcome data into structured intelligence, predictive insights, and scalable recommendation systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Nutrition Data Science &
- Intelligence
- Design data models for nutrition, lifestyle, health, behavioral, and transformation data.
- Identify meaningful patterns, correlations, and relationships within user data.
- Develop analytical frameworks for personalized nutrition recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of the Nutrition Intelligence Engine.
- Recommendation &
- Personalization Models
- Develop statistical and machine-learning approaches for personalized nutrition.
- Build scoring, segmentation, recommendation, and prediction models.
- Improve personalization using user feedback, adherence, and transformation outcomes.
- Help establish measurable logic for evaluating recommendation quality.

- Define data collection and data-quality standards across Kefilo's products and programs.
- Clean, transform, validate, and structure datasets.
- Build dashboards and analytical reports for product and business decisions.
- Establish meaningful KPIs and analytical frameworks for user and program outcomes.

- Continuous Innovation
- Research emerging approaches in nutrition data science, AI, personalization, and preventive wellness.
- Design and test new data-driven hypotheses.
- Work with nutrition experts to validate models and recommendations.
- Contribute to proprietary methodologies, research, documentation, and potential IP.

Required Skills

- Strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, and data science.
- Python and relevant data-science libraries.
- Experience with SQL and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modelling.
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to convert real-world problems into measurable data problems.

Preferred

- Experience in healthcare, nutrition, wellness, fitness, food technology, or consumer health.
- Experience building recommendation or personalization systems.
- Knowledge of time-series, behavioral,



or longitudinal user data.
- Experience with AI/ML experimentation and model evaluation.
- Research-oriented mindset with interest in building proprietary intelligence systems.

Equity-Based Chance This is an equity-based founding-team opportunity.

There is no fixed salary for this role at the current stage. Equity will be discussed based on your expertise, expected contribution, time commitment, ownership, and long-term involvement with Kefilo.

The objective is to build the company together—not simply execute a predefined .

Ideal Candidate

Someone who is genuinely interested in building a NutritionTech intelligence company and wants to take ownership of the data-science layer from the early stage.

You should be comfortable working with ambiguity, building systems from scratch, collaborating with domain experts, and taking responsibility for outcomes rather than only completing assigned tasks.
