Main Duties & Scope of the role

- Review and edit personal statements, SOPs, and application essays for grammar, clarity, structure, and coherence.
- Ensure alignment with university guidelines and specific program expectations.
- Enhance content to reflect the applicant’s voice, goals, and strengths without altering authenticity.
- Collaborate with students or Counselors to understand background, achievements, and motivations.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve narrative flow and overall impact.
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit and rewrite application documents (SOPs, essays, LORs, resumes) to highlight student strengths and individuality.
- Brainstorm with students to develop impactful, personalized content where needed.
- Ensure timely submission of assigned documents while maintaining quality.
- Follow standardized editing guidelines and processes.
- Support departmental content needs through editing, proofreading, and content creation.




- Assist in editing-related training and maintain quality and TAT reports.
- Provide personalized attention to students and uphold brand standards through quality content.

About the Candidate (including required competencies)

- Excellent Language & Editing Skills: Proven ability to write and edit at a high level—strong command of English grammar, style, and tone.
- Familiarity with Admissions Processes: Solid understanding of SOP/essay structures, program requirements, and university expectations across various disciplines.
- Strong Interpersonal & Communication Abilities: Able to quickly build rapport with applicants, ask insightful questions to draw out their unique stories, and convey feedback constructively.
- Time Management & Organizational Proficiency: Experienced in juggling multiple editing projects, prioritizing tasks, and consistently meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Requirements & Qualification

- Robust written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage effectively.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering editing-related training.
- Adaptable, with a proactive attitude and ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.
- Problem-solving mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Prior experience in the study abroad/overseas education sector preferred.
- Qualification: Graduate or higher; 4-5 years of relevant experience required.
