Key Responsibilities

Oversee and guide the core Biochemistry laboratory operations and processes.

Ensure compliance with NABL requirements, quality standards, SOPs, and laboratory protocols.

Handle NABL audits, including preparation, coordination, documentation, implementation, and closure of observations/non-conformities.

Review and ensure proper maintenance of quality records, registers, SOPs, manuals, and other required documentation.

Establish and monitor Quality Control (QC) and quality assurance practices in the laboratory.

Review internal quality indicators, QC trends, calibration, validation and verification processes.

Ensure proper implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Coordinate with laboratory teams for audit readiness and continuous quality improvement.

Guide technical staff on laboratory procedures, quality practices, and troubleshooting.

Review and support implementation of new tests, equipment, methodologies, and technical processes.





Participate in internal audits, management reviews, proficiency testing/EQAS and other quality initiatives.

Ensure adherence to laboratory safety, infection control and regulatory requirements.

Provide technical guidance to management on laboratory quality and operational matters.

Candidate Profile

Strong experience in clinical laboratory / diagnostic centre operations.

Excellent understanding of NABL accreditation processes and audit requirements.

Hands-on knowledge of documentation, quality systems, SOPs, QC, CAPA and audit compliance.

Robust technical understanding of Biochemistry laboratory processes.

Excellent analytical, communication and coordination skills.

Should be capable of independently handling technical and quality-related responsibilities.
