Role Description The Senior Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure to support Superfan’s learning platform. This is a full-time remote role involving daily collaboration with engineering and product teams to architect solutions, optimize performance, and ensure reliability of backend services and data systems.

Responsibilities include managing cloud environments, automating deployments, monitoring system health, and implementing robust security and backup strategies.

Engineer will also help define best practices, review code and infrastructure changes, and mentor other technical team members.



The role requires proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement of infrastructure to support rapid product growth and user engagement.

Qualifications

- Solid Software Development skills, with experience in building and maintaining backend services and automation scripts.
- Solid Infrastructure skills, including designing, deploying, and managing distributed systems and networking components.
- Deep Cloud Computing expertise (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) with experience in containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including design, scaling, and monitoring.
- Relevant skills such as infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), observability tools, and security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team, with clear communication and ownership of deliverables.
- Experience in edtech, consumer apps, or culturally focused platforms is an advantage.
