Senior BMC Helix Administrator – Tool Enablement

Summary

We are seeking a Senior BMC Helix Administrator to lead the administration, enablement, optimization, integration, and technical support of BMC Helix solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

The role will serve as a technical subject matter expert for the BMC Helix platform, with particular focus on BMC Helix Capacity Optimization, enterprise integrations, monitoring, reporting, automation, and platform reliability.

The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, operations, application, and service management teams to ensure the platform remains stable, scalable, accurate, and aligned with operational requirements.

Responsibilities

BMC Helix Administration & Tool Enablement

· Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize the BMC Helix platform and associated modules.

· Serve as the technical SME for BMC Helix Capacity Optimization and related platform capabilities.

· Manage platform upgrades, patches, releases, maintenance, and environment changes.

· Configure workflows, dashboards, reports, integrations, and platform customizations.

· Manage users, roles, permissions, and access controls.

· Monitor platform availability, performance, and overall operational health.

· Establish and maintain technical standards, administration procedures, governance controls, and platform best practices.

· Support the enablement and onboarding of new platform capabilities.

Platform Integration & Data Management

· Design, configure, and maintain integrations between BMC Helix and enterprise infrastructure tools.

· Manage data collectors, connectors, APIs, and ETL processes.

· Integrate monitoring, observability, discovery, CMDB, and infrastructure data sources.

· Monitor and improve data completeness, accuracy, and quality.

· Troubleshoot integration, collection, synchronization, and data-quality issues.

· Support onboarding of new technologies, business units, platforms, and infrastructure domains.





· Coordinate retirement and decommissioning activities for obsolete systems and integrations.

Capacity Planning & Analytics

· Develop and maintain capacity planning and forecasting models.

· Build operational dashboards, executive scorecards, and management reports.

· Analyze infrastructure utilization and performance across:

o Compute o Storage o Network o Databases o Middleware o Virtualization o Containers o Public cloud o Private cloud

· Identify capacity risks, infrastructure constraints, performance bottlenecks, and utilization issues.

· Recommend opportunities to improve infrastructure efficiency and resource utilization.

Operations & Platform Support

· Troubleshoot complex platform incidents and perform root cause analysis.

· Work with BMC support and third-party vendors to resolve escalated issues.

· Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.

· Maintain architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, configuration documentation, and technical standards.

· Participate in change, release, and incident management processes.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to administrators and support personnel.

Cloud & Infrastructure Collaboration

· Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams on capacity planning and optimization initiatives.

· Improve visibility across on-premises, hybrid cloud, and public cloud infrastructure.

· Support modernization initiatives involving cloud-native and containerized technologies.

· Identify opportunities to automate recurring administrative and operational activities.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to platform stability, efficiency, and scalability.

Qualifications

· 7 years of experience supporting enterprise IT operations, infrastructure management, Capacity Management, or IT management platforms.





· 4 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting BMC Helix Capacity Optimization and/or BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization.

· Expert-level knowledge of BMC Helix Capacity Optimization.

· Strong experience with BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization.

· Experience administering enterprise monitoring, infrastructure management, or IT operations platforms.

· Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.

· Experience with virtualization technologies including:

o VMware o Hyper-V o Nutanix

· Experience supporting Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.

· Solid SQL skills.

· Experience creating dashboards, reports, and operational analytics.

· Strong understanding of CMDB, Discovery, and IT Service Management concepts.

· Experience integrating enterprise monitoring and observability platforms.

· Knowledge of Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.

· Familiarity with APIs, scripting, automation, and integration technologies.

· Experience managing large-scale hybrid infrastructure environments.

· Experience supporting business-critical enterprise platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.

· Experience participating in enterprise platform modernization initiatives.

· Experience implementing automation for platform administration or infrastructure operations.

Preferred Certifications

· BMC Certified Professional (BCP)

· ITIL Foundation

· Microsoft Azure Certification

· AWS Certification

· Kubernetes Certification

Pay: ₹1,500.00 - ₹2,500.00 per hour
