Title: Senior BMC Helix Administrator (Tool Enablement)

Location : Remote - India

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior BMC Helix Administrator (Tool Enablement) to lead the administration, optimization, integration, and support of the BMC Helix platform within a large enterprise environment. This individual will serve as the technical subject matter expert for BMC Helix tools, ensuring platform stability, performance, data accuracy, and alignment with infrastructure and IT operations objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in BMC Helix Capacity Optimization (BHCO), platform integrations, capacity analytics, infrastructure monitoring, and enterprise-scale IT operations. This role will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, operations, and application teams to deliver actionable capacity insights and maintain platform health across hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:

BMC Helix Administration & Tool Enablement

- Administer, configure, and maintain the BMC Helix platform and related modules.
- Serve as the primary SME for BMC Helix Capacity Optimization and associated tools.
- Manage platform upgrades, patches, releases, and system maintenance activities.
- Configure workflows, dashboards, reports, and platform customizations.
- Manage users, roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, and operational health.
- Develop and maintain platform standards, governance processes, and best practices.

Integration & Data Management

- Configure and maintain integrations between BMC Helix and enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Manage data collectors, connectors, APIs, and ETL processes.
- Integrate infrastructure monitoring, discovery, and CMDB data sources.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and quality across the platform.
- Support onboarding of new technologies,



business units, and infrastructure domains.
- Coordinate decommissioning efforts for retired systems and tools.

Capacity Planning & Analytics

- Develop and maintain capacity planning models and forecasting capabilities.
- Build executive dashboards, scorecards, and operational reporting solutions.
- Analyze utilization trends across:
- Compute
- Storage
- Network
- Database
- Middleware
- Virtualization platforms
- Public and private cloud environments
- Identify performance bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
- Provide recommendations to improve infrastructure efficiency and resource utilization.

Operations & Support

- Troubleshoot platform incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with BMC support teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex issues.
- Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in change management and release management processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior administrators and support personnel.

Cloud & Infrastructure Collaboration

- Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to support capacity planning initiatives.
- Enable visibility across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Support modernization efforts involving containerized and cloud-native technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

- Expert-level experience with BMC Helix Capacity Optimization (BHCO).




- Strong experience with BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization.
- Experience administering enterprise IT management and monitoring platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies including:
- VMware
- Hyper-V
- Nutanix
- Experience supporting container platforms including:
- Kubernetes
- OpenShift
- Strong SQL skills and reporting/dashboard development experience.
- Understanding of CMDB, Discovery, and IT Service Management concepts.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
- Knowledge of cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Familiarity with APIs, automation, and scripting technologies.

Required Experience

- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT operations, capacity management, or infrastructure management platforms.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting BMC Helix Capacity Optimization or BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization.
- Experience managing large-scale hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise platforms.
- Banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
