Senior BMC Capacity Management Specialist

Summary

We are looking for a Senior BMC Capacity Management Specialist to lead the administration, operation, enhancement, and support of an enterprise Capacity Management platform.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and accuracy of capacity data, maintaining forecasting and capacity models, monitoring platform health, developing dashboards and reports, and integrating capacity management solutions with infrastructure monitoring and configuration management platforms.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical subject matter expert for BMC Helix Capacity Optimization and provide actionable insights that support infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and technology investment decisions across hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

BMC Capacity Management Platform Administration

· Administer, configure, maintain, and support BMC Helix Capacity Optimization (BHCO) and related Capacity Management solutions.

· Perform platform configuration, customization, and ongoing optimization.

· Manage users, roles, permissions, and access controls.

· Coordinate and support platform upgrades, patches, releases, and maintenance activities.

· Monitor platform availability, performance, and operational health.

· Maintain configuration standards, technical documentation, and operational procedures.

Integration & Data Management

· Configure and maintain capacity data collectors, connectors, and integrations.

· Integrate infrastructure monitoring, discovery, and CMDB data sources.

· Validate the completeness, accuracy, and quality of capacity and utilization data.

· Troubleshoot data collection and integration issues.





· Support onboarding of new infrastructure technologies and technology domains.

· Coordinate the decommissioning of retired platforms, collectors, and integrations.

Capacity Analytics & Reporting

· Develop and maintain capacity dashboards, operational reports, and executive scorecards.

· Maintain forecasting models and capacity planning methodologies.

· Perform utilization and trend analysis across:

o Compute o Storage o Network o Databases o Middleware o Virtualization o Containers o Cloud infrastructure

· Identify potential capacity constraints, utilization anomalies, bottlenecks, and saturation risks.

· Provide recommendations for infrastructure optimization and improved resource utilization.

· Support short-, medium-, and long-term capacity forecasting.

Platform Support & Troubleshooting

· Troubleshoot platform incidents and perform root cause analysis.

· Coordinate with BMC support and relevant third-party vendors for complex technical issues.

· Support platform backup, recovery, and continuity requirements.

· Maintain technical runbooks, support documentation, and configuration records.

· Participate in change and release management activities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

· 7 years of experience in Capacity Management, infrastructure management, or enterprise infrastructure operations.





· 4 years of hands-on experience supporting or administering BMC Helix Capacity Optimization and/or BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization.

· Strong hands-on knowledge of BMC Helix Capacity Optimization.

· Experience supporting enterprise-scale hybrid infrastructure environments.

· Strong understanding of infrastructure capacity planning and performance analysis.

· Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms.

· Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.

· Experience with virtualization technologies such as:

o VMware o Hyper-V o Nutanix

· Experience with container platforms such as:

o Kubernetes o OpenShift

· Experience working with SQL and reporting/dashboard tools.

· Understanding of CMDB and Discovery concepts.

· Experience supporting cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical enterprise environments.

· Experience within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.

· Experience with infrastructure automation, scripting, or API-based integrations.

Preferred Certifications

· BMC Certified Professional

· ITIL Foundation

· Microsoft Azure Certification

· AWS Certification

· Kubernetes or other relevant cloud/infrastructure certifications

Pay: ₹1,500.00 - ₹2,500.00 per day
