Role: Senior BMC Capacity Management Platform Specialist

Location: Remote

Work timing: IST / UK Hours

Position Summary The Capacity Management Platform Specialist will be responsible for administration, operation, enhancement, and support of the Enterprise Capacity Management platform. The role will ensure accurate capacity data collection, forecasting model maintenance, platform health monitoring, dashboard development, and integration with infrastructure monitoring tools. The individual will serve as the technical lead for capacity analytics and platform optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Administration

- Administer and maintain BMC Helix Capacity Optimization (BHCO) / BMC Capacity Management Platform
- Perform platform configuration and customization
- Manage users, roles, permissions, and access controls
- Manage upgrades, patching, and release activities
- Monitor platform performance and availability

Integration & Data Management

- Configure and maintain connectors and data collectors
- Integrate infrastructure monitoring and CMDB data sources
- Ensure data completeness and quality validation
- Onboard and decommission technology domains

Capacity Analytics

- Develop dashboards, reports, and executive scorecards




- Maintain forecasting and capacity models
- Conduct utilization analysis across:
- Compute
- Storage
- Network
- Database
- Middleware
- Virtualization
- Cloud platforms
- Perform bottleneck identification and capacity saturation analysis

Technical Support

- Incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Vendor coordination with BMC support
- Configuration backup and recovery
- Documentation and runbook maintenance

Required Skills

- BMC Helix Capacity Optimization (Mandatory)
- BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization
- Infrastructure Monitoring Tools
- Linux and Windows Platforms
- VMware / Hyper-V / Nutanix
- OpenShift and Kubernetes
- SQL and Reporting Tools
- CMDB and Discovery concepts
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Experience

- 7+ years in Capacity Management
- 4+ years supporting BMC Capacity Optimization
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services preferred
- Experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments

Certifications (Preferred)

- BMC Certified Qualified
- ITIL Foundation
- Cloud Certification (Azure/AWS)
