Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate to manage end-to-end bookkeeping, month-end close, management accounts, payroll, VAT compliance, and financial reporting for UK and US clients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UK/US accounting, excellent client management skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced outsourcing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Portfolio Management:
- Manage a portfolio of small to mid-sized international clients while supporting managers on large and complex engagements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Design and implement customized accounting processes based on client requirements.
Bookkeeping & Financial Accounting:
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and General Ledger maintenance.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate Management Accounts, financial reports, and investor reporting packages.
- Monitor and manage client finance inboxes, ensuring timely responses and issue resolution.
Payroll & Compliance:
- Process payroll accurately and within deadlines.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC.
- Ensure compliance with UK/US accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal quality procedures.
Review & Quality Assurance:
- Review own work and assist in reviewing deliverables prepared by junior team members.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness,
and timely completion of all accounting assignments.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and compliance standards.
Team Support & Process Improvement:
- Train, mentor, and support new team members.
- Assist managers with operational responsibilities and workflow management.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects including financial consolidations, business planning, due diligence, and process improvement initiatives.
- Leverage technology and automation tools to improve efficiency and streamline accounting processes.

Qualifications:
- Qualified CA / ACCA or Semi-Qualified Accountant.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

- Strong understanding of UK/US accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Passionate about technology, automation, and continuous process improvement.
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with ownership and accountability.
