- Code Champion Lead by example with clean, maintainable, and scalable code. Actively participate in peer reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and drive quality standards across the AS/400 platform.

- Solution Architecting Take charge of designing modules, components, and overall solutions on the AS/400 system. Balance performance, scalability, and simplicity to deliver effective and elegant systems.

- Collaboration Be the bridge between business needs and technical execution. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and provide transparent, concise feedback to stakeholders about technical challenges and progress.

- Quality Advocate Define, enforce, and promote quality standards. From unit tests to integration testing, your focus will be on delivering robust, reliable solutions.

- Knowledge Sharing Mentor peers, share expertise in AS/400 development, and contribute through collaboration, presentations, and documentation to enhance team capabilities

Job Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive design documents for AS/400 modules, programs, and components.




- Create and manage reusable components in RPG and CL.

- Conduct and participate in estimation activities to provide accurate projections.
- Collaborate to troubleshoot and resolve client-reported issues within defined SLAs.
- Perform peer reviews to ensure high-quality code across the AS/400 development team.

- Actively engage in client demos and effectively showcase solutions.
- Share expertise through training sessions, documentation, and technical articles.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering projects using Scrum, Agile, and iterative development methodologies.

- Establish and optimize processes and tools to enhance productivity in AS/400 development, including version control, automation, and deployment processes..

Desired Skillset

- Strong expertise in RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2/400.
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing AS/400-based applications and interfaces.
- Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Control-M or equivalent.

- Familiarity with modern integrations, such as web services, APIs, and XML on AS/400, is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with an eye for optimization and performance tuning.

- Experience in Agile, Scrum, and iterative development methodologies.
