We are looking for a solid Senior Applications Engineer who can independently review technical enquiries and tenders, understand the application, identify suitable technologies and OEMs, obtain quotations, develop technical compliance, and prepare complete engineered solutions for submission.

This is primarily an applications engineering and technical tendering role, not a field-sales position.

Key Responsibilities

- Review RFQs, tenders, specifications and BOQs.
- Understand customer applications and identify technical requirements, risks and missing information.
- Select suitable measurement technologies, instruments and system configurations.
- Identify and evaluate multiple OEMs/suppliers rather than relying on one brand.
- Prepare and issue technical RFQs to manufacturers.
- Compare supplier offers technically and commercially.
- Prepare:
- compliance statements
- deviation lists
- technical comparison sheets
- BOMs
- datasheets
- technical proposals
- clarification questions
- Support sales teams with technically sound solutions and bid strategy.
- Coordinate directly with international OEMs for technical clarification and product selection.
- Develop cost-effective alternatives while maintaining required specifications and compliance.
- Maintain technical documentation, supplier information and product/application knowledge.
- Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application.
- Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
- Provide design and specification development support to consultants, integrators, and distributors.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
- Perform technical/ product training for sales people, estimators, and engineers at targeted accounts.
- Assist in the design and development of recent products and tools necessary to make target accounts comfortable and successful at selling controls
- Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company approved databases
- Travel to project sites to preform start-up,



integration, and training services if required.
- Maintain professional business relationships within supplier accounts.
- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors or suppliers
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
- Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
- Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
- Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
- Maintains project data base and backing up data.
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs;
- Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts;
- Helping in the design of custom-made products;

- Preferred Technical Background

Good practical knowledge in several of the following areas:

- Online water and wastewater instrumentation
- Surface-water / environmental monitoring
- Multiparameter water-quality sensors
- Air-quality monitoring systems
- CEMS / gas analyzers




- Meteorological monitoring systems
- Process instrumentation
- Flow, level, pressure and temperature instrumentation
- Sampling systems and analyzer integration
- Data loggers and telemetry
- Basic understanding of PLC/SCADA, Modbus, RS485, Ethernet and industrial communications

Deep expertise in every area is not required. The successful candidate must be capable of researching unfamiliar applications and developing technically sound solutions.

Required Skills

- Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
- Approximately 7–12 years of relevant applications, proposal, instrumentation or system-integration experience.
- Solid ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
- Experience preparing quotations, technical offers and compliance documents.
- Good understanding of instrumentation principles and measurement technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Comfortable communicating directly with international manufacturers and suppliers.
- Strong Excel, Word and technical-documentation skills.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Willing to learn new technologies and applications continuously.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience from companies involved in any of the following will be preferred:

- Environmental monitoring
- Water/wastewater instrumentation
- Process analyzers
- Industrial instrumentation
- CEMS / AQMS
- System integration
- EPC / proposal engineering
- Instrumentation distributors or OEMs
