Job Title: Senior Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will move beyond traditional bookkeeping to serve as a strategic financial partner. You will be responsible for ensuring flawless regulatory compliance, generating deep financial insights, and leveraging advanced accounting technologies to optimize our financial operations.
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting foundations, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to translate complex financial figures into transparent business stories for executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Accounting & Compliance
· Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Reports) with absolute accuracy.
- Ensure all corporate financial activities strictly align with GAAP and/or IFRS standards, as well as local tax regulations.
- Oversee and implement robust internal controls and audit trails to prevent fraud and ensure absolute audit readiness.
- Manage corporate tax compliance, accurate filings, and strategic cost-reduction assessments within legal frameworks.
2. Data Analysis & Financial Modeling
- Extract and interpret large datasets to identify financial trends, anomalies, and operational inefficiencies.
- Build predictive forecasting models and budgets to support corporate growth and strategic decision-making.
- Deliver accurate variance analysis comparing actual financial outcomes against projected budgets.
3. Technology & Automation Management
- Maintain and optimize workflows within our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) network (e.g., Tally, Focus & MCB etc.).
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets workflows, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros, to streamline data processing.
- Actively adopt and integrate AI-driven automation tools for automated invoice processing, expense tracking, and digital workflows.
4. Strategic Communication & Collaboration · Practice effective financial storytelling by translating complex metrics and tax structures into clear, jargon-free presentations for non-financial executives.
· Collaborate closely with department heads to help them understand budget constraints, resource allocation, and profitability metrics.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a highly related field.
- Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of progressive experience in a corporate accounting or public accounting role.
- Technical Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience navigating mid-to-large-scale ERP systems including but not limited to Tally and MCB software.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for spotting minor inconsistencies within extensive datasets to mitigate financial risks.
- Ethical Standards: Ironclad commitment to confidentiality, professional integrity, and corporate ethics.
