Senior AccountantAbout the Role

Chai Shots is looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, financial reconciliations, statutory compliance, monthly closing, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Tally/Zoho Books, GST, TDS, vendor/customer accounting, and financial reporting, with the ability to independently manage accounting activities and support leadership with accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end day-to-day accounting activities including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and ensure proper accounting documentation and supporting records.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor bills, payment processing, customer collections, ageing analysis, and reconciliations.
- Perform regular bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
- Take ownership of monthly and year-end closing activities, including preparation of trial balance, schedules, provisions, accruals, and supporting financial reports.
- Prepare and review P&L; schedules, balance sheet schedules, MIS reports, and other management reports as required.
- Handle and maintain GST and TDS workings, reconciliations, documentation, and coordinate with consultants for timely return filings and compliance.
- Monitor statutory compliance requirements and ensure accounting records are maintained in line with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required data, vouchers, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
- Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related accounting documentation.




- Track inventory-related accounting entries and coordinate with relevant teams for stock reconciliation and adjustments.
- Review accounting entries and identify errors, discrepancies, or unusual transactions before month-end closure.
- Support cash flow tracking, payment planning, and vendor/customer balance reviews.
- Maintain proper documentation, vouchers, invoices, and filing systems for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assist in strengthening internal controls, accounting processes, and finance SOPs.
- Work closely with Finance, HR, Operations, and other teams to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Take ownership of accounting process improvements and support the leadership team with accurate and timely financial information.

Requirements
- Semi-Qualified CA preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in core accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting principles, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Hands-on experience with Tally ERP / Zoho Books and strong proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience in preparing financial schedules, MIS reports, P&L; support, and audit documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Ability to independently manage accounting activities with minimal supervision.
- Robust ownership, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In person

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
