This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sen Analyst IM User Access Management based in India.
This role focuses on strengthening user access security, compliance, and governance across global SAP S/4HANA environments.
You will help shape and implement User Access Management strategies supporting a major business transformation program and evolving technology needs.
As the India-based UAM HUB lead, you will coordinate delivery across a geographically distributed team while providing direction, mentorship, and operational oversight.
The position combines SAP security expertise with role design, authorization management, risk controls, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
You will work across S/4HANA implementations, Fiori security, SAP GRC, identity management, SoD controls, and business UAT activities.
The role also involves supporting cutovers, Hypercare, audits, security assessments, and the transition from project delivery into sustained operations.
This is a hybrid leadership opportunity requiring regular presence in Bangalore, collaboration across global teams, and occasional domestic or international travel.

Accountabilities:
- Lead and coordinate UAM HUB operations from Bangalore, ensuring consistent delivery across geographically distributed team members in India.
- Provide day-to-day direction, mentorship, and support to UAM team members while maintaining accountability for delivery quality.
- Lead security workshops to gather business and compliance requirements for SAP S/4HANA role design.
- Validate role designs following development and ensure authorization solutions meet business and compliance requirements.
- Develop UAM strategies covering composite roles, Fiori tiles, business roles, user personas, data security, and UI masking concepts for S/4HANA.
- Design, test, and implement rule sets supporting SAP S/4HANA role and authorization design.
- Perform data validation and health checks and prepare supporting compliance documentation.
- Support role data and user account setup, role design testing, and coordination of business user acceptance testing.
- Manage authorization defects and provide support during user cutover and Hypercare activities.
- Collaborate with Business Adaptation teams on training, communications, and site readiness activities.
- Facilitate transitions between project phases and operational teams to support sustainable ongoing operations.
- Conduct SAP security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP security issues and help maintain a secure SAP environment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation covering SAP security policies, procedures, configurations, and controls.
- Track team KPIs, productivity metrics, delivery dashboards, and operational performance.
- Conduct performance management activities and promote continuous improvement across the team.
- Coach and mentor junior team members while fostering collaboration and accountability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; studies in Risk Management, Compliance, or Audit are preferred.
- 10–12 years of experience in User Access Management, particularly within enterprise risk management frameworks.
- 3–5 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise with SAP GRC Access Control and Identity Management tools.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations, including Fiori application security.
- Deep knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, Segregation of Duties (SoD) mitigation, and remediation strategies.
- Experience maintaining risk matrices and rule sets, as well as performing data analysis, conversion, and migration activities.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring remotely distributed teams across India.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills across functional and regional teams.
- Strong understanding of business functions and how enterprise systems and applications support business partners.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical thinking, collaboration, conflict resolution, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong customer service orientation, documentation skills, and experience enforcing policies and controls.
- Ability to define, monitor, and report delivery metrics, team KPIs, and productivity dashboards.
- Ability and willingness to work from the Bangalore office as the primary location for team operations.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or related industries is preferred.
- Experience with large-scale SAP implementation programs is preferred.
- PMO experience coordinating activities across multiple functional workstreams is a plus.
- Experience working within a hub-and-spoke delivery model is preferred.
- Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, MS Teams, and other collaboration platforms is beneficial.
