Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the complete security operations at real estate project sites, construction sites, offices, and other company premises.
- Lead, allocate, and monitor the performance of security guards and ensure adequate security coverage across all shifts.
- Prepare and manage security duty rosters, shift schedules, and post-wise deployment of security personnel.
- Ensure that all security guards are present at their assigned posts and properly perform their duties.
- Conduct regular rounds and inspections of the site to identify security risks, unauthorized access, safety concerns, and suspicious activities.
- Monitor and control the entry and exit of employees, workers, contractors, vendors, visitors, vehicles, and material.
- Maintain proper records of visitor entry, vehicle movement, material movement, and other security-related activities.
- Ensure that no unauthorized person, vehicle, or material enters or leaves the premises without proper verification and authorization.
- Verify material gate passes, delivery challans, returnable/non-returnable material documents, and authorization slips before allowing materials to move in or out.
- Coordinate with the Store, Project, Purchase, HR, and Administration teams regarding material movement and site access.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and ensure that security-sensitive areas are properly covered and monitored.
- Report any suspicious activity, theft, loss, damage, unauthorized access, or security violation immediately to management.
- Handle security incidents and take immediate appropriate action in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a proper daily security logbook and prepare daily/weekly security reports for management.
- Ensure proper handover and takeover between security shifts, including reporting of incidents, pending issues, keys, registers, and other important information.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas such as stores, offices, equipment areas, construction zones, and other sensitive locations.
- Ensure proper control and safe custody of keys, access cards, security equipment, registers,
and other security assets.
- Coordinate with local police, emergency services, fire/security agencies, and other authorities whenever required.
- Assist management during emergencies such as fire, theft, accidents, unauthorized entry, disputes, or other security incidents.
- Ensure security personnel are aware of emergency procedures, evacuation routes, fire safety protocols, and basic first-aid/emergency response.
- Conduct regular briefings and toolbox meetings for security guards regarding discipline, alertness, site rules, customer/visitor handling, and emergency procedures.
- Train and guide security guards on professional conduct, access control, patrolling, visitor management, and incident reporting.
- Ensure that security guards maintain proper uniform, grooming, discipline, punctuality, and professional behavior.
- Monitor attendance, absenteeism, late reporting, shift changes, and leave arrangements of security personnel.
- Take corrective action and report repeated negligence, misconduct, or violations by security staff.
- Coordinate with the security agency/vendor regarding manpower requirements, replacement of guards, attendance, performance, and operational issues, where applicable.
- Ensure that construction-site security procedures are followed to minimize theft, pilferage, unauthorized entry, vandalism, and loss of company/project assets.
- Conduct regular inspections of boundary walls, gates, lighting, fencing, CCTV systems, locks, and other security infrastructure.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations, project information, customer information, and other sensitive matters.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies, site rules, and applicable safety and security standards.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate; relevant security or supervisory certification will be an advantage.
- 3–7 years of experience in security supervision, preferably in real estate, construction, industrial, commercial, or large project sites.
- Prior experience managing and supervising a team of security guards.
- Strong knowledge of access control, visitor management, patrolling, material movement, gate-pass procedures, and incident reporting.
- Experience in handling security operations across multiple shifts.
- Basic knowledge of CCTV monitoring and security systems.
- Good understanding of construction-site security requirements and material control.
- Strong leadership, discipline, observation, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and take quick, appropriate action.
- Physically fit and capable of conducting regular site inspections and rounds.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, security registers, reporting, and documentation.
- Honest, alert, responsible, and highly disciplined.
- Candidates with experience in large-scale real estate/construction projects will be preferred.
