As an SDET Engineer - UI Test Automation for BlueRock Security, you will:
- Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable end-to-end UI automation framework using Python and Playwright
- Leverage AI tools/testing platforms to accelerate test creation, self-heal scripts, and triage test failures
- Diagnose, isolate, and debug complex UI failures, asynchronous rendering issues, user workflow errors, and backend integration bugs
- Integrate automated Playwright suites into continuous integration pipelines (GitlabCI) for seamless regression testing.
- Partner with UI Developer and product teams to translate requirements and acceptance criteria into executable automated test scenarios
- Implement Page Object Model patterns, parallel test execution, and API mocking techniques to minimize test execution time
You could be a great fit for this role if you have: (Must Haves)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science (or equivalent)
- At least 3+ years of professional experience in software automation using Python
- Hands-on experience with Playwright,
working with cross platforms and browser testing
- Comfortable working with AI tools for test generation and automation
- Solid understanding of Python Pytest framework
- Proficiency with Git workflow management and CI/CD pipeline scripting
- Familiarity with building test suites for RESTful APIs using python libraries like request modules along with UI validations
- Deep understanding of software QA methodologies, testing life cycles, and Agile/Scrum delivery
- Exposure to and familiarity with multiple desktop operating systems: Windows/MacOS/Linux
Nice to Have:
- Understanding of public cloud deployments(AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Exposure to Docker for containerized test execution environments and building custom docker test clients
- Familiarity with testing application firewall/security product UI
