Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA FICO and SD Consultant to drive the Finance & Controlling and Sales and Distribution workstream during the final stages of SAP S/4HANA deployment. The consultant will be responsible for leading UAT support, defect management, cutover planning and execution, go-live readiness, hyper care support, and stabilization activities while working closely with business users, SI partners, SAP teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

The consultant will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth transition from deployment to steady-state operations and achieving business continuity during go-live.

Key Responsibilities

UAT & Business Readiness

- Lead SAP FICO and SD functional support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Review and validate business test scenarios and test scripts.
- Coordinate defect triage, resolution, retesting, and closure.
- Support key users during testing cycles and issue resolution.
- Monitor testing progress and provide daily/weekly status updates.
- Ensure finance business processes are validated end-to-end.

Cutover Planning & Execution

- Develop and execute FICO /SD cutover activities.
- Coordinate finance master data validation and migration readiness.
- Support mock cutovers and rehearsal activities.
- Identify deployment risks and mitigation plans.
- Manage go/no-go checkpoints and readiness assessments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional SAP teams (MM, SD, PP, Basis, Security, Integration).

Go-Live Support

- Provide intensive support during deployment weekend and go-live period.




- Resolve critical production issues impacting business operations.
- Monitor financial postings, interfaces, reports, and reconciliations.
- Validate period-end, taxation, and statutory reporting processes.

Hypercare Support (3 Months)

- Act as primary FICO/SD functional lead during Hypercare.
- Manage incident prioritization and resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Support users with process and system-related queries.
- Track and report Hypercare KPIs, incident trends, and resolution metrics.
- Ensure knowledge transfer to internal support teams before Hypercare exit.

Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with Finance, Controlling, Taxation, Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT teams.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and escalations to leadership.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and business reviews.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- SAP FICO/SD Certification preferred.
- CA, CMA, MBA Finance preferred.

Experience Required

- 8+ years of SAP FICO/SD experience
- Minimum 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations
- Robust experience in:
- UAT Management
- Cutover Planning
- Go-Live Execution
- Hypercare Support
- Defect Management
- Financial Data Migration

Success Criteria At the end of the engagement, the consultant shall:

- Successfully complete UAT and defect closure activities.
- Deliver FICO/SD cutover execution without critical issues.
- Support successful S/4HANA Go-Live.
- Complete 3-month Hypercare stabilization period.
- Achieve smooth transition to BAU support team.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and project documentation closure.
