Role Summary We are looking for a hands-on SAP ECP / EC Payroll QA Test Analyst to execute testing for US Payroll implementations on the SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) platform.

The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of US Payroll processing, hands-on experience with EC-to-ECP integration testing, and the ability to accurately execute payroll test scenarios and scripts within a structured testing environment.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in the Payroll domain, preferably with SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP ECP / EC Payroll.
- Mandatory US Payroll experience, including:

- US tax processing

- Wage types

- BSI TaxFactory

- Garnishments

- Retro processing
- Year-end processing including W-2
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Integration Testing / SIT execution on SAP HCM or ECP programs.
- Experience testing payroll interfaces such as ACH/NACHA bank files, GL, time integration, and third-party vendor feeds.

Key Technical Skills
- SAP ECP / EC Payroll – payroll schema/PCR familiarity, wage type catalog, payroll control record, and payroll log analysis.
- SuccessFactors Employee Central – understanding of EC-to-ECP replication, compensation, organizational and position data flows.
- US Payroll – federal, state and local taxes, BSI TaxFactory, garnishments, off-cycle and retro processing, W-2.

- Experience with parallel payroll runs and variance comparison between legacy payroll systems and ECP.
- Defect management using HP ALM / Quality Center, JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute test cases and scripts across SIT, parallel testing, UAT and regression cycles.
- Execute payroll scenarios covering gross-to-net calculations, federal/state/local tax withholding, garnishments, off-cycle payroll and retro processing.
- Perform EC-to-ECP integration testing and validate employee master data, compensation, organization and position data flows.
- Test payroll interfaces including ACH/NACHA bank files, GL postings, time & attendance feeds and third-party integrations.
- Support payroll parallel runs, perform result comparisons, document variances and assist with root-cause analysis.
- Validate US payroll tax scenarios and BSI TaxFactory results.
- Execute year-end scenarios including W-2 and W-2c validation, where applicable.
- Log and track defects with complete payroll-specific details including wage types, pay periods, employee populations and replication steps.
- Review test scripts, identify coverage gaps and provide execution status to the test lead.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify payroll variances.
- Clear and structured defect reporting.
- Ability to work within defined testing schedules and proactively escalate blockers.

Good to Have
- Multi-state US Payroll experience, including state reciprocity and local taxes.
- Experience with ADP, Ceridian, or other legacy payroll systems.
- Previous consulting / SI delivery project experience.
