Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP BTP Application Lead / Custom Software Engineer with strong expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in one or more key BTP areas including BTP Application Development, BTP Datasphere, Integration Suite, SAP HANA Cloud, SAPUI5/Fiori, Node.js, and cloud-based application development .

The role involves designing, developing, integrating, deploying, and optimizing enterprise-grade applications on SAP BTP. The candidate will also work closely with architects, functional teams, business stakeholders, and development teams while providing technical guidance and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable enterprise applications on SAP BTP .
- Develop cloud-native applications using modern full-stack development practices.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and service-oriented applications using Node.js and related frameworks.
- Build responsive user interfaces using SAPUI5/Fiori and integrate them with backend services.
- Design and develop data models, database artifacts, and data solutions using SAP HANA/HANA Cloud and SAP BTP Datasphere .
- Develop and manage enterprise integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite and cloud integration technologies.
- Configure and manage BTP subaccounts, services, service instances, destinations,



and other platform components.
- Work on data modelling, ETL/ELT, data integration, and performance optimization where required.
- Design and implement APIs and integrations using REST and other relevant integration patterns.
- Contribute to application architecture, technical design, and solution decisions.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, database, and production issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding, security, governance, and development standards.
- Use Git and CI/CD/DevOps practices for source control, collaboration, and application deployment.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, technical discussions, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, functional consultants, and cross-functional development teams.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to team members.
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to decisions across multiple teams.
- Monitor project progress and support timely delivery with required quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in application development and delivery processes.
- Where applicable, implement AI/LLM-enabled capabilities and AI application patterns within SAP BTP solutions.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) .




- Experience in one or more of:
- SAP BTP Application Development
- SAP BTP Datasphere
- SAP BTP Integration Suite
- Strong understanding of cloud application development and BTP architecture .
- Experience with enterprise application development and SDLC.
- Strong understanding of application design principles and development best practices.
- Hands-on experience with relevant development technologies such as Node.js, SAPUI5/Fiori, SAP HANA/HANA Cloud, SQL, REST APIs , or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud integration technologies and methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Experience & Education

- Candidates with strong specialized experience in BTP Application Development, Datasphere, or Integration Suite may also be considered.
- Education: Any Graduate / 15 years of full-time education preferred.
- Experience in enterprise-scale SAP/cloud implementation projects is preferred.
