Time: 9 am to 6 pm A Route Salesman is responsible for taking orders from customers along an assigned route, building strong customer relationships, increasing sales, and ensuring timely collections. This role combines sales, customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell company products and promote new or promotional items to increase sales
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory
- Collect payments and issue receipts accurately
- Ensure proper stock rotation and product display (merchandising)
- Monitor inventory levels and place restocking orders as needed
- Maintain accurate daily sales and delivery records
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks
- Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues when necessary
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Proven sales or delivery experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Solid communication and negotiation skills
- Basic math and record-keeping skills
- Customer-focused with a professional attitude
