Job Summary The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth for Curio Education’s Foundational Years Curriculum by identifying and acquiring new schools, developing strong relationships with school management, managing the sales pipeline, conducting product presentations, and achieving assigned revenue and school acquisition targets.
The role requires a strong understanding of the preschool and school education ecosystem and the ability to position Curio as a comprehensive, future-ready foundational learning solution.
The Sales Manager will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Academic Team, Operations Team, and School Relationship Team to ensure smooth conversion, onboarding, and long-term engagement of partner schools.
Key Responsibilities
1. New School Acquisition
- Identify and approach preschools, K–12 schools, school groups, and educational institutions within the assigned territory.
- Generate leads through school visits, referrals, networking, events, conferences, databases, and other business development activities.
- Build a strong pipeline of prospective schools.
- Schedule meetings with school owners, directors, principals, academic heads, and decision-makers.
- Convert qualified prospects into Curio partner schools.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual school acquisition targets.
2. Sales Presentations & Product Demonstrations
- Present the Curio curriculum and its benefits effectively to school management.
- Conduct product demonstrations, curriculum presentations, and academic solution meetings.
- Explain Curio’s:
- Foundational years curriculum
- NEP 2020 and NCF alignment
- Developmental domains
- Teacher resources
- Student learning materials
- Assessment systems
- Teacher training support
- Parent engagement initiatives
- Understand each school’s requirements and recommend the most suitable Curio offering.
- Handle objections and negotiate effectively to close business.
3. Lead & Pipeline Management
- Maintain a structured sales funnel from lead generation to closure.
- Update all leads, meetings, follow-ups, proposals, and sales opportunities in the prescribed CRM or reporting format.
- Categorise prospects according to stage and conversion probability.
- Ensure timely follow-ups with all prospective schools.
- Maintain accurate monthly sales forecasts.
- Share pipeline updates with the Regional Sales Manager.
4. Revenue & Target Achievement
- Achieve assigned:
- Revenue targets
- School acquisition targets
- Student enrolment/book-set targets
- Territory growth targets
- Develop monthly action plans to achieve targets.
- Identify gaps in performance and take corrective action in consultation with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Maintain focus on both new business generation and revenue growth from existing schools.
5. Territory Management
- Develop a detailed understanding of the assigned territory.
- Map potential schools by city, locality, school category, student strength, and decision-maker.
- Plan daily and weekly school visits efficiently.
- Identify high-potential clusters and markets.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends.
- Provide regular market intelligence to the Regional Sales Manager.
6. Relationship Management
- Build skilled relationships with:
- School owners
- Directors
- Principals
- Academic coordinators
- Preschool heads
- School administrators
- Maintain regular engagement with prospective and existing partner schools.
- Act as a key point of contact during the sales and onboarding process.
- Ensure schools receive timely support from the appropriate Curio team.
7. Proposal, Negotiation & Closure
- Prepare and present commercial proposals according to approved company policies.
- Coordinate pricing and special commercial terms with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Negotiate professionally while protecting company margins.
- Ensure all necessary approvals are obtained before closing the deal.
- Complete agreements, order confirmations, and required documentation.
8. School Onboarding Coordination After closure, coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
Responsibilities include
- Sharing complete school details with the academic and operations teams.
- Confirming student strength and class-wise requirements.
- Coordinating curriculum implementation schedules.
- Supporting book and material requirement planning.
- Facilitating teacher training and orientation schedules.
- Ensuring proper handover to the School Relationship/Academic Team.
9. Collections & Commercial Follow-Up
- Coordinate with schools for timely payments as per agreed commercial terms.
- Follow up on outstanding payments in coordination with accounts and the Regional Sales Manager.
- Ensure payment commitments are properly documented.
- Maintain visibility on outstanding amounts for assigned accounts.

Events & Lead Generation Activities
- Participate in school conferences, educational exhibitions, seminars, principal meets, and networking events.
- Support Curio workshops, demo sessions, and promotional events.
- Generate leads through local associations, school networks, Sahodaya groups, and education communities.
- Represent Curio professionally at external events.
11. Reporting
Submit regular reports including
- Daily visit report
- Weekly lead report
- Sales pipeline report
- Meeting and follow-up status
- Conversion report
- Monthly revenue forecast
- School acquisition report
- Competitor feedback
- Market intelligence
- Collection status
Participate in periodic sales review meetings with the Regional Sales Manager.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Education Management preferred.
Experience
- 3–6 years of B2B sales/business development experience.
- Experience in education, publishing, curriculum solutions, EdTech, school products, books, or educational services is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with an existing network of schools, principals, and school owners will have an added advantage.

Typical Daily Responsibilities A typical working day may include:
- Reviewing the sales pipeline and priority leads.
- Planning school visits.
- Meeting principals, directors, and school owners.
- Conducting Curio curriculum presentations.
- Following up on previous proposals.
- Developing new leads and referrals.
- Negotiating and progressing deals toward closure.
- Coordinating requirements for newly signed schools.
- Updating sales reports.
- Sharing key developments with the Regional Sales Manager.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
