: Safety Officer Role Purpose To ensure the secure execution of Industrial Electrification and diesel generator installation work at the client’s premises by enforcing safety standards, monitoring compliance, and mitigating risks to personnel, equipment, and property Key Responsibilities Conduct site-specific risk assessments before installation begins. Develop and implement Safety Plans and Permit-to-Work systems for generator installation activities. Required to maintain all EHS related Electrical & Mechanical installation work at site execution Monitor activities such as lifting, electrical connections, fuel handling, and mechanical assembly to prevent accidents. Conduct toolbox talks and daily safety briefings for workers and contractors.
Inspect and verify PPE usage and enforce corrective actions when violations occur. Supervise safe handling of diesel fuel storage and transfer to prevent fire hazards. Coordinate with project engineers and client representatives to resolve safety concerns. Investigate and report near misses, incidents, or unsafe conditions. Maintain documentation: safety checklists, inspection reports, HIRA and compliance records. Provide emergency response preparedness (firefighting, first aid, evacuation drills).
