Position: Safety Manager

Job Descriptions/ Key Responsibilities:

- Develop safety measures guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure that the operations team members and all contractors, service providers at worksites understand and abide by the company safety rules and procedures.
- Ensures all HSE processes and procedures are implemented and standardized across BHSK worksites. Conduct weekly inspections to ensure that all safety equipment is in place and operable including the fire extinguisher.
- Assists in all aspects of incident investigation including verifying root cause and approving the implementation of preventative actions.
- Ensure that the initial response time for any workplace accident occurrence and attending to injured workers is less than 15 mins for each accident occurrence.
- Audit physical space arrangements and make recommendations to ensure staff safety in the event of violent incidents.
- Tracks company health and safety metrics and uses the data to identify and reduce risk.
- Ensures emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place to manage emergencies. This includes employees’ awareness of emergency phone numbers for various types of work accidents injury or emergencies.
- Provides HSE leadership, training, and operational support to all levels of the organization and across all functional groups.



Operationalize safety into workplace training. Creates performance standards regarding safety for each employee supervised.
- Identify at least three (3) sources of safety-related training and recommend the best option to the management based on cost and effectiveness.
- Ensure that 98% of employees are trained in the handling of hazardous materials or work equipment.
- Identify and prioritize safety training requirements based on the frequency and severity of accidents that occurred.
- Communicate health and safety objectives to all new hires within 2 weeks of hire.
- Track changes in legislation and ensure that the company is in complete compliance within the timeframe established by any recent legislation.
- Maintains all necessary training and licensing to function as a signing authority on all HSE matters. This includes as the guardian and custodian of the ISO4500.
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Candidate’s Requirements:

- Obtained Diploma/Degree qualification in relevant discipline or similar.
- At least 5years’ working experience in the related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, team player and willing to learn.
- Must have both MWAH & WSH level B training competency
