Role & responsibilities
- Visit assigned retail stores across your city on a set schedule
- Evaluate and document product placement, shelf organization, and store layout
- Assess quality, accuracy, and consistency of product labelling and pricing displays
- Study how product categories are organized and signposted (e.g., mobiles, appliances, laptops, accessories)
- Observe and record how sales staff pitch products to customers (approach, product knowledge, upselling, objection handling)
- Capture photographs/notes as evidence for each store visit (where permitted)
- Identify and document in-store customer experience elements that enhance the buying journey (e.g., interactive product demos, digital displays, self-help kiosks, comfortable browsing zones, smart signage)
- Prepare structured observation reports and scorecards summarizing your findings
- Share observations and improvement recommendations with the retail/category team
