Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced SAP S4Hana Integrations Senior Consultant with a strong background in the retail industry to support the SAP S/4HANA stores rollout. The consultant will play a critical role in designing, building and deploying interfaces that connect S/4HANA with store, e-commerce, logistics and banking systems, with a focus on retail-specific requirements, interface specification reviews, and end-to-end integration oversight.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO and API-based integration, retail interface patterns such as POS, payments and warehouse messaging, and the integration of retail business streams with SAP systems.

Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Interface Specification Review:

- Collaborate with retail business and IT stakeholders to gather and document integration requirements specific to store operations.
- Review and validate interface design specifications, ensuring alignment with the integration architecture, retail best practices and SAP standards.
- Provide recommendations on interface patterns, message volumes, error handling and reprocessing for high-frequency retail scenarios.

Integration Oversight:

- Design, build and support interfaces between S/4HANA and retail-specific systems such as POS, SAP CAR, SAP IS-Retail, EWM, e-commerce platforms, payment providers and banks.
- Manage end-to-end message flow between point-of-sale systems, inventory management, third-party logistics and financial reporting.
- Validate test scenarios, interface and end-to-end integration tests, and UAT results across all connected retail systems.

Integration Monitoring and Compliance:

- Define monitoring,



alerting and error-handling standards for retail interfaces, ensuring compliance with MAF security, audit and data protection requirements.
- Design resilient, automated interface processing for high-volume retail transactions across many store locations.
- Coordinate connectivity, certificates and onboarding with third-party providers including payment gateways, logistics partners and banks.

Project Management Support:

- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for integration throughout the rollout lifecycle, from design through store go-live and hypercare.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies for integration-specific challenges, such as peak message volumes, network dependencies and store connectivity.
- Ensure alignment of rollout milestones related to interface readiness, connectivity testing and cutover.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Act as the primary contact for integration topics in the retail stream, collaborating with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, functional leads, SAP consultants, and external vendors.
- Conduct design workshops and handover sessions for support teams to enable ongoing interface operations.

Functional/Technical Competencies

Education:

- Bachelor s/master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in SAP integration (PI/PO, Integration Suite)



with at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or rollouts.
- Proven expertise in retail integration scenarios, including POS sales upload, inventory and replenishment messaging, payment and settlement interfaces and multi-location store connectivity.
- Solid background in interface development and support: IDoc, OData, REST/SOAP APIs, flat file and event-based messaging.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA store rollout and multi-site deployment projects.

Technical Skills:

- Hands-on skills in SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration, SAP PI/PO, API Management, and interface monitoring tools.
- Experience with retail-specific SAP components (e.g., SAP CAR, POS DM, IS-Retail, EWM).
- Proficiency in interface specification documentation, mapping design and error-handling frameworks.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP services, event mesh and S/4HANA retail innovations.

Soft Skills:

- Strong communication skills for engaging with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Analytical mindset to identify gaps and propose tailored solutions.
- Ability to manage high-pressure environments with fixed store opening deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP Integration Suite or SAP PI/PO Certification.
- Experience with large-scale retail SAP projects involving multi-location, multi-country and multi-currency operations.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
