Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising restaurant service operations, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining service standards, and coordinating with the kitchen and other departments for smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome and seat guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure timely service.
- Supervise waiters and service staff during the shift.
- Allocate tables and duties to service staff.
- Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Coordinate with the kitchen regarding food orders and special guest requests.
- Monitor the quality and presentation of food and beverages before serving.
- Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints professionally.
- Ensure correct billing and assist guests with payment procedures.
- Maintain proper hygiene, grooming, and service standards.
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness and ensure tables are cleared and reset promptly.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily instructions to the team.
- Assist in training new staff and improving service standards.
- Maintain proper records and report operational issues to the Restaurant Manager.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, food safety, and health & safety standards.

Senior Captain –

Position: Senior Captain

Department: Food & Beverage / Restaurant

Reports To: Restaurant Manager / F&B; Manager

Job Summary:

The Senior Captain is responsible for leading the restaurant service team, coordinating daily operations, maintaining high guest-service standards, and supporting the Restaurant Manager in achieving operational and customer-satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and lead restaurant Captains, waiters, and other service staff.




- Ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
- Conduct daily pre-shift briefings and distribute staff responsibilities.
- Monitor table allocation, reservations, guest flow, and service sequence.
- Ensure all food and beverage orders are served accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, stewarding, and front office teams.
- Handle VIP guests and special occasions with appropriate attention.
- Resolve guest complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor staff grooming, discipline, attendance, and work performance.
- Ensure restaurant setup and closing procedures are completed properly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Monitor stock levels of restaurant operating equipment and report shortages or damages.
- Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance improvement.
- Check bills and ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales and guest-satisfaction targets.
- Prepare and submit shift reports and communicate important issues to management.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, SOPs, and health & safety regulations.
- Take charge of the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager or F&B; Supervisor, when assigned.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hotel F&B; operations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Leadership and team-management abilities.
- Customer-service oriented with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle busy shifts.
- Good knowledge of hygiene and food-safety practices.
- Skilled grooming and appearance.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
