About Balief Corporation

Balief Corporation works on customized systems for R&D; and pilot-scale applications, with the objective of developing and scaling them towards commercial-scale plants. We also work as an EPC partner for technology-driven projects. Our current areas of work include Carbon Capture & Utilization (CCU), Waste-to-Energy & Energy Recovery, Air & Water Treatment, and other emerging technology and process applications.

We work on customized projects that often require research, innovation and development of solutions specific to a client's requirement. We are therefore looking for a technically strong person who can bridge the gap between research, technical solution development, proposals and business development.

As a Research & Technical Executive, you will be responsible for understanding new and customized project requirements, conducting technical research and feasibility studies, developing solutions and preparing strong technical and commercial proposals.

The role will involve interaction with clients as well as close coordination with R&D;, engineering, design, manufacturing and business-development teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Study RFPs, RFQs, tenders and customized client requirements and understand their technical needs.
- Conduct technical research, literature reviews, technology assessment, feasibility studies and scientific/engineering calculations.
- Develop technical & commercial proposals, concept notes, scope of work, specifications, BOQ/BOM and cost estimates.
- Study the backend requirements for manufacturing, integration and implementation of proposed systems.
- Support process/system design, sizing, calculations and technical development wherever required.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and client pitches and participate in technical meetings.
- Understand client problems and help develop practical,



technically and commercially viable solutions.
- Coordinate with R&D;, engineering, design, manufacturing and other technical teams for project development.
- Research existing and emerging technologies, research papers, patents and technology developments relevant to the company's activities.
- Identify opportunities for new in-house product development based on market requirements and Balief's expertise.
- Assist in evaluating technologies for technology transfer, licensing, acquisition, collaboration or commercialization.
- Support the company in IP identification, patent searches, patent assessment and preparation/coordination of patent and IP registration activities.
- Assist in evaluating whether Balief's internally developed technologies have potential for IP protection and commercialization.
- Support government/PSU/R&D; proposals, funding opportunities, tenders and technical documentation.
- Handle technical queries, proposal revisions and project documentation.

Contribute to problem-solving, innovation, scale-up and conversion of research concepts into practical industrial systems.

Someone who can understand a problem → research it → assess feasibility → develop a technical solution → perform the necessary calculations → understand how it can be manufactured → prepare the proposal → present it to the client → and help take it towards execution.

The candidate should have

- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
- Ability to independently research unfamiliar technologies and requirements
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly




- Strong scientific/technical curiosity and an innovation-oriented mindset
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ownership, initiative and willingness to learn quickly
- Familiarity with AI/research tools is an advantage

Qualification & Experience PhD candidates and recently graduated PhD scholars with solid research, analytical, technical writing and problem-solving capabilities are welcome to apply.

M.Sc., M.Tech. or equivalent postgraduate candidates may also apply if they have strong technical/research capabilities, excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly take up complex technical and proposal-development responsibilities.

1–3 years of relevant industrial experience in technical proposals, R&D;, technical consulting, technology development, product development, process/system development or similar work is preferred.

Candidates should be capable of starting with minimal training and contributing from Day 1.

Added Advantage

Experience in technical-commercial proposals, techno-economic analysis, process/system design, pilot-scale development, scale-up, tender/RFP documentation, patents/IP, technology transfer, technology commercialization, government-funded R&D; or industrial R&D; will be an advantage. The reference role similarly emphasizes research proposals, technical-commercial proposals, feasibility studies, pilot systems and technology commercialization.
