Position: Research & Publication Intern

Internship Duration: Minimum 3 months

Stipend: ₹8,000 per month

Time Commitment: Approximately 5–6 hours per day

Work Mode: Remote / Online

We are looking for motivated college/university students and early-career researchers who have practical exposure to academic research, manuscript preparation, journal selection, and the publication process.

This is not an internship focused only on content writing. Interns will work across the complete research-publication workflow and will receive structured guidance and training on our processes, tools, quality standards, and publication workflow.

? WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Selected interns will assist with:

- Academic and scientific literature searches
- Literature reviews and evidence synthesis
- Research-paper and manuscript preparation
- Editing and improving existing manuscripts
- Structuring abstracts, introductions, literature reviews, methodology, results, discussions, conclusions, and limitations as applicable
- Identifying gaps in manuscripts and recommending revisions
- Checking references, DOIs, citations, and supporting literature
- Maintaining reference libraries
- Shortlisting suitable journals for manuscripts
- Checking whether journals are indexed in Scopus and other relevant databases
- Understanding journal quartiles/rankings such as Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 where applicable
- Comparing journal scope, audience, indexing, publication model, fees/APCs, manuscript requirements, and other relevant criteria
- Differentiating pediatric journals from general/non-pediatric journals when working on pediatric research
- Preparing manuscripts according to journal author guidelines
- Preparing cover letters, declarations, supplementary information, tables, figures, and submission checklists
- Supporting legitimate journal submission workflows
- Tracking manuscript submissions and editorial correspondence
- Helping prepare responses to reviewer/editor comments




- Maintaining a publication tracker for multiple manuscripts
- Supporting revisions and resubmissions

Publication acceptance can never be guaranteed—the journal's editors and peer reviewers independently determine acceptance. We expect interns to follow ethical research and publication practices at every stage.

? TRAINING & TOOLS

Selected candidates will be trained in our research and publication workflow, including appropriate use of:

- Academic literature databases and search tools
- Scopus and journal-indexing resources
- Google Scholar and other scholarly discovery tools
- Reference-management software
- Microsoft Word / Google Docs
- Excel / Google Sheets
- ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI-assisted research/productivity tools where appropriate
- Citation and DOI verification workflows
- Journal-selection and manuscript-tracking systems

AI tools may be used to assist research organization, language improvement, structured analysis, brainstorming, and productivity, but interns will be expected to verify sources, citations, data, claims, and references independently.

Fabricated citations, fabricated data/results, plagiarism, undisclosed inappropriate AI use, manipulation of research results, or unethical publication practices will not be accepted.

? MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

- Are currently enrolled in a college/university program or are recent graduates
- Have strong academic and research-writing skills
- Have prior exposure to research-paper preparation and academic publishing
- Have contributed to or published at least one paper in a Scopus-indexed journal, with their specific authorship/contribution clearly explained during screening




- Understand the basic structure of academic manuscripts
- Understand journal indexing and the basics of Scopus
- Can independently search and evaluate scholarly literature
- Can commit approximately 5–6 hours per day
- Can commit for a minimum of 3 months
- Have strong attention to detail
- Can work with deadlines and multiple manuscripts simultaneously
- Are comfortable learning new research and AI productivity tools

Experience in medical, healthcare, pediatric, life-sciences, management, technology, interdisciplinary, or related research areas may be particularly useful depending on current projects.

High-performing interns may be considered for extended engagements or permanent/full-time opportunities after successful completion of the internship, depending on organizational requirements, performance, research quality, reliability, and available positions. WHAT WE VALUE
