About the Role

SAV Vertex Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Research Head to lead its equity research function. The role requires strong expertise in fundamental and technical analysis, stock selection, company valuation, investment research, and research report writing.

The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality investment insights, making research-backed recommendations, and leading the research team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the equity research function and research team.
- Conduct in-depth fundamental and technical analysis of listed companies.
- Perform company, industry, sector, and secondary research.
- Analyse annual reports, financial statements, investor presentations, earnings releases, and corporate disclosures.
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities through stock selection and valuation analysis.
- Develop and monitor Buy / Sell / Hold recommendations and investment theses.
- Identify potential entry and exit points using fundamental and technical analysis.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and professional equity research and investment reports.
- Monitor market trends,



company developments, and factors impacting investment decisions.
- Mentor and guide the research team while maintaining high standards of research quality.

Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 12–15 years of relevant equity research / investment research experience.
- Proven experience in fundamental and technical equity research and stock selection.
- Prior experience in evaluating stocks from a Buy / Sell / Hold perspective is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of company valuation, financial statements, and investment analysis.
- Excellent equity research report writing skills are mandatory.
- Proven ability to prepare company, stock, sector, and investment research reports.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Prior experience with Australian equity markets / ASX-listed companies will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
- CFA, CA, MBA Finance, or relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
