Role Description The Research and Development Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vadodara. The specialist will design and execute experiments related to custom synthesis, process optimization, and scale-up of APIs and specialty chemicals.

Responsibilities include conducting laboratory work, analyzing data, preparing technical reports, and supporting technology transfer from lab to pilot and commercial scale. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, as well as contributing to sustainable green chemistry initiatives.



The specialist will also assist in evaluating raw materials and process costs to support efficient commercialization.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D;) and research skills, with experience in chemical or pharmaceutical projects.
- Candidates should possess solid analytical skills, including data interpretation, problem solving, and familiarity with analytical techniques.
- Candidates should possess practical laboratory skills, including protected handling of chemicals, experimental setup, and accurate documentation.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for reporting results, collaborating with teams, and presenting technical information.
- Relevant degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of organic synthesis, process development, and scale-up principles; experience with green chemistry is an advantage.
- Understanding of quality standards, safety practices, and regulatory guidelines in pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing.
- Ability to work methodically, meet project timelines, and adapt to evolving research priorities.
