About the Role

Sourcing Connect Consulting is looking for an experienced Senior Associate – Reinsurance Integration & Operations to support a client in the Life & Annuities (L&A;) reinsurance domain.

The role is focused on the operational execution, integration, administration, and governance of reinsurance programs. The successful candidate will work across internal business teams, reinsurers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure that reinsurance arrangements are implemented accurately, contractual requirements are met, and operational processes run effectively.

Critical Requirement – Life & Annuities Reinsurance

Specific hands-on experience in Life & Annuities (L&A;) reinsurance is strongly preferred and will be a key screening criterion.

Candidates with only general insurance, P&C;, health insurance, or non-L&A; reinsurance experience may not be suitable.

Candidates should have practical experience in areas such as L&A; reinsurance administration, treaty implementation, reinsurance operations, treaty servicing, bordereaux/reporting, premiums, claims, settlements, data reconciliation, or operational integration of L&A; reinsurance arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Reinsurance Integration & Implementation

- Support the operational implementation and integration of Life & Annuities reinsurance treaties and programs .
- Translate treaty terms and contractual requirements into operational processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external reinsurers to ensure successful implementation of reinsurance arrangements.
- Support system, data, workflow, and operational readiness activities associated with new or amended treaties.
- Ensure operational processes accurately reflect treaty provisions and contractual obligations.

Reinsurance Operations & Administration

- Manage and oversee day-to-day operational activities associated with reinsurance administration.
- Support processing and validation of reinsurance premiums, claims, commissions, settlements, recoverables, and other treaty-related transactions , as applicable.
- Review and reconcile reinsurance data between internal systems, policy administration platforms,



and reinsurer records.
- Support preparation, validation, and distribution of reinsurance reports, statements, schedules, and operational deliverables.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, exceptions, and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records relating to reinsurance arrangements.

Treaty Governance & Compliance

- Review operational activities against treaty terms, conditions, and agreed procedures.
- Identify potential deviations from contractual requirements and coordinate appropriate resolution.
- Support governance, controls, audit requirements, and operational risk management.
- Maintain appropriate documentation relating to treaty implementation, changes, processes, and controls.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance with reinsurance agreements.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as a key operational liaison between:
- Reinsurance teams
- Life & Annuities business teams
- Finance and accounting
- Actuarial teams
- Underwriting / product teams
- Claims and policy administration teams
- Technology / data teams
- External reinsurers and service providers
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver operational requirements.
- Communicate status, risks, issues, dependencies, and required actions effectively.

Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve reinsurance processes, controls, data quality, and operational efficiency.
- Support automation, standardization, and process transformation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, workflows, and operating procedures.
- Take ownership of assigned operational projects and deliverables.
- Support continuous improvement across reinsurance integration and administration processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory / Strongly Preferred

- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, insurance administration, financial services operations, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in Life & Annuities (L&A;) reinsurance is strongly preferred.




- Demonstrated understanding of reinsurance operations and administration.
- Experience working with reinsurance treaties, treaty implementation, treaty servicing, or reinsurance operational processes.
- Solid understanding of insurance / reinsurance workflows, data, transactions, and operational controls.
- Experience working with internal teams and external reinsurance partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify data and process discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / MS Suite , particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related discipline .
- Industry-recognized insurance / reinsurance qualifications are a plus, including:
- FLMI
- ALMI
- ARA
- ARE
- Other relevant insurance or reinsurance certifications
- Experience with Life & Annuities administration platforms or reinsurance systems is advantageous.
- Experience supporting reinsurance transformation, integration, implementation, or shared-services operations is preferred.

Candidate Profile We are looking for a professional who combines strong L&A; reinsurance domain knowledge with hands-on operational experience .

The ideal candidate should be able to understand a reinsurance treaty, translate its requirements into operational activities, work with multiple stakeholders, investigate exceptions, and ensure accurate and timely execution.

Candidates who have worked directly with Life & Annuities reinsurance operations will receive priority consideration.
