Role Description The Regional Collection and Legal Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City. This role oversees regional collections activities, including monitoring overdue accounts, implementing recovery strategies, and guiding branch teams to achieve collection targets while maintaining customer-centric practices. The position is responsible for managing legal processes related to delinquent accounts, such as reviewing case files, coordinating with external legal partners, and ensuring timely filing and follow-up of legal actions.

The manager will ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, maintain accurate documentation and MIS reports, and provide regular updates to senior management. The role also involves supporting process improvements in collections and legal workflows,



training staff on compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize credit risk.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legal provisions to housing finance and recovery matters.
- Experience in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting notices, agreements, pleadings, and other recovery-related documentation.
- Background in Legal Consulting, providing guidance to internal teams and branches on legal risks, strategies, and case handling.
- Proven expertise in Legal Compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory norms, lender guidelines, and company policies.
- Hands-on involvement in Legal Affairs, including coordination with external counsel, courts, and regulatory authorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); advanced legal or finance qualifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in collections or recovery within housing finance, NBFCs, or banking, preferably in affordable or rural housing segments.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proficiency in relevant regional languages and English, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in office in Pune, travel within the region as required, and lead teams toward defined collection and legal objectives.
