Role
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor capable of independently handling quantity estimation, BOQs, cost analysis, and quantity control for large-scale, mega, urban development, and experimental projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, estimates, BOQs, and project cost calculations from architectural,
structural, and MEP drawings.
- Extract and verify quantities from drawings, models, and project documentation.
- Carry out reverse calculations and quantity analysis for major project-related items to validate
requirements, consumption, and costs.
- Develop and maintain item-wise quantity sheets, rate analysis, cost estimates, and quantity
reconciliation.
- Review drawings and guide the architectural team on detailing, constructability, material quantities, and
cost implications.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, and site teams to resolve
quantity and execution-related issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify actual development, quantities executed, materials used, and
work progress against approved drawings and BOQs.
- Monitor and reconcile planned vs. executed quantities and identify variations, discrepancies, and
potential cost overruns.
- Prepare detailed quantity, cost, variation, and project-status reports for the Reporting Manager.
- Assist in tender documentation, contractor evaluations, rate comparisons, variation orders, and final
quantity reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate quantity records throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, estimation, and quantity management.
- Proven experience with large-scale, mega projects, urban development, or experimental/complex
projects.
- Strong expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, rate analysis, and cost control.
- Excellent ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, specifications, and architectural detailing.
- Ability to identify quantity implications of design decisions and technically guide the architectural team.
- Strong site coordination, analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and relevant quantity-surveying/estimation software is preferred.
Ideal Candidate: A technically solid and experienced Quantity Surveyor who can independently control project quantities from design and estimation through site execution, while contributing to design detailing, constructability, cost optimization, and project decision-making.
