A Quality engineer in an automotive components (auto-comp) company ensures that manufactured parts meet strict safety, reliability, and customer specifications.
Core Responsibilities
Process Monitoring & Control: Monitor shop floor production lines including all incoming, process & final inspection activities, verify adherence to control plans, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Defect Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate internal rejections or customer complaints using structured problem-solving tools like the 8D Methodology, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
Quality Audits: Conduct internal audits, Layered Process Audits (LPA), and manage compliance documentation for quality systems like ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
Supplier Quality Management: Inspect incoming raw materials and vendor components, track supplier defect rates, and review vendor corrective actions.
Risk & Process Planning:
Support the creation and updating of Process Flow diagrams, Control Plans, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
Continuous Improvement: Use Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce scrap, minimize rework, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
Required Skills:
Strong Analytical ,Logical and documentation skills.
Effective Communication and Interpersonal skills.
Team Handling and Leadership qualities with a proactive and problem solving aproach.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
