About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer (QE) to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, offline-first products, and automation frameworks. This role involves designing and implementing robust test strategies, developing automation frameworks, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across multiple layers of applications and backend services.

The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QEs, to identify quality risks and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.



This position offers an opportunity to influence testing practices significantly, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the overall quality assurance process of complex digital products.

Qualifications

- 6–9 years of Quality Engineering experience, with a proven track record in testing distributed systems or offline-first products.
- Strong background in test strategy and test architecture, with the ability to design comprehensive testing approaches.
- Hands-on experience with UI automation tools like Selenium WebDriver and API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent, capable of building and maintaining advanced automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in defining test coverage for both on-device applications and backend AWS services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a quick-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice to have: Experience with synchronization/CRDT-style systems; POS or retail-hardware testing experience.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement a comprehensive test strategy that covers offline/online scenarios, synchronization, and hardware-integration edge cases relevant to the workstream.
- Define and ensure thorough test coverage across on-device applications and AWS backend services involved in the project.
- Develop, build,



and own automation frameworks that extend beyond basic UI record-and-replay scripts, enabling scalable and maintainable testing solutions.
- Mentor Mid-level QE team members, providing guidance and support to foster growth and best practices within the team.
- Coordinate test cycles with the Pod Lead and engineering teams, ensuring timely execution and reporting of testing activities.
- Identify and communicate quality risks, coverage gaps, and areas for improvement to the Delivery Manager and Pod Lead.
