Job Purpose To ensure consistent service quality, hygiene standards, and operational excellence across all departments of Merlis Hotels, in line with brand standards, statutory requirements, and guest expectations.
Microbiology degree - must!
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily/weekly quality audits across Rooms, Housekeeping, F&B; Service, Kitchen, Front Office, and Public Areas
- Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards as per FSSAI, HACCP, and hotel SOPs
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) across departments
- Identify quality gaps and recommend corrective & preventive actions
- Coordinate with department heads to implement quality improvements
- Track and analyze guest feedback, reviews, and complaint trends
- Prepare and submit quality audit reports to management
- Conduct staff briefings and training on quality and service standards
- Support internal and external audits and inspections
- Maintain proper documentation related to quality checks and compliance

- Strong eye for detail and observation
- Knowledge of hotel operations & service standards
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene & safety regulations
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Problem-solving and follow-up skills
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
- Tamil speaking candidates preferred.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality
- 1–3 years experience in hotel operations / quality / audit role
- Experience in mid-scale or luxury hotels preferred
