Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a QC Engineer. The role involves ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of Protouch products across different stages of manufacturing and operations. Daily responsibilities include conducting quality inspections, monitoring product and process quality, identifying defects or deviations, maintaining QC documentation, and coordinating with production, warehouse, R&D;/NPD, and other teams to resolve quality-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct quality inspections and testing of raw materials, components, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Ensure products meet defined quality specifications, standards, and internal quality parameters.
- Monitor quality at different stages of the manufacturing, assembly, and packaging processes.
- Identify, document, and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain QC records, inspection reports, test reports, checklists, and other quality-related documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D;/NPD, Warehouse, and Operations teams to identify and resolve quality concerns.
- Conduct regular inspections of production and packaging processes to ensure compliance with approved SOPs and quality standards.




- Support the development, implementation, and improvement of quality control procedures and SOPs.
- Monitor rejected or non-conforming materials/products and ensure proper segregation and documentation.
- Assist in handling product quality complaints and support investigation and resolution.
- Participate in internal quality audits and ensure necessary corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements to reduce defects, wastage, and customer complaints.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and compliance throughout the quality control process.

- Qualification

- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Assembly, FMCG, Consumer Electronics, Cosmetics, Beauty & Personal Care, or a related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Control processes, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
- Good understanding of ISO standards, GMP, SOPs, and quality management practices.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and non-conformance management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good attention to detail with a quality-focused approach.
- Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting/documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple quality requirements and meet timelines.
- Experience in beauty, skincare, personal care, consumer electronics, D2C, or product-based companies will be preferred.
- Knowledge of product testing, inspection tools, and quality audit processes will be an added advantage.
