Role Description

- This role is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai.
- Looking for candidates from Heat Exchangers & pressure vessels background.
- This role involves inspecting and testing materials and finished products to ensure they meet defined quality standards and specifications.
- To monitor production processes, document test results, analyze data, and identify root causes of defects or non-conformities.
- The position includes collaborating with production, engineering, and management teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, as well as maintaining quality records and supporting internal and external audits.
- The role also requires participation in continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to all safety and compliance guidelines within the facility.

Qualifications

- Level II NDT & CSWIP certification mandatory.
- Prefer a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering
- Strong QC/QA skills,



with experience in inspection, testing, and documentation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Use standard measuring instruments / testing equipment (such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, welding gauges etc.)
- Perform stage-wise and final inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and fabricated components.
- Conduct dimensional checks as per engineering drawings and ASME/IS standards.
- Conduct weld inspection, visual testing and NDT (UT, RT, PT, MT) with third-party agencies
- Ensure welding documentation is maintained (Weld Maps, WPS, PQR, WPQ)
- Prepare QAP & maintain quality documents like Dossier, inspection reports, material test certificates (MTCs), WPS/PQR records, and QAPs
- Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies (TPI) like Lloyds, BV, TUV etc.
- Document non-conformities and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
